Eric Lubbock, 4th Baron Avebury, Trustee of the African Gifted Foundation, is a Liberal Democrat peer and is internationally known for his interests and concerns on civil liberties and human rights. He is widely known in Africa for his passion for the continent’s development.
Lord Avebury has a long background in engineering and computer technology and is a member of the Institute for Mechanical Engineering and Fellow of the British Computer Society. Lord Avebury read Engineering Science at Balliol College, Oxford and was elected to an Honorary Fellowship at Balliol College in 2004.
