**ASA Volunteer Scheme: Progression Mentors**
We offer an exciting 3 or 5-month volunteer placement to young female* school and university leavers, as Progression Mentors (PMs) at the African Science Academy. If you are looking to sharpen your professional skills whilst impacting the brilliant ASA students, then send an email to email@example.com
As part of this role, PMs will support students within the Maths and Physics classes. They will also contribute to the varied extra-curricular life of the school and support students with university applications. In addition, they will be responsible for mentoring small groups of students. There are also opportunities for PMs to be involved in other parts of running the school, such as marketing, fundraising and web design.
We are looking for individuals with good results in Maths and/or Physics at A-level (or equivalent), a genuine academic interest and enthusiasm for these subjects, and the ability to inspire our students. Skills in teaching English or Computer Science will be an added benefit.
To apply for this opportunity please submit the following documents to Ann Fesu at: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Completed Application Form (please click here to download our application form). Please note: We do not charge any application fee and the application form is free.
- A letter of application (no longer than one page), briefly outlining why you wish to apply to become a PM at our school, what specific skills, qualities and experience you can offer the school, and why you feel confident in meeting the challenges of this opportunity and of living and working in Ghana.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ann Fesu on email@example.com
*As we are an all-girls school and PMs live on the same campus as our students, we can only accept female applicants this year.
