Our fourth Academy took place in Ghana, August 2013
We had 88 students from 9 countries, at this, our largest Academy to date. This was a challenge and a great success, with 10 young volunteers from Cambridge University, and the support of the organisations we used in 2012.
In August 2012 the African Gifted Foundation held its third successful Academy.
This was our first summer Academy and it took place in Accra, Ghana, our first visit to the country. The organisations which supported us and the professional people of Ghana, made this event a great success, so we can confidently plan to return to Ghana next summer to run a much larger Academy.
50 Students from 6 Countries attended our second Academy in Uganda January 2012
In January 2012 the African Gifted Foundation held its second Academy in Kampala, Uganda and it was twice the size of the previous year.
This year 50 students from six countries attended. Botswana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda and Zanzibar were all represented by an outstanding group of students from a range of backgrounds, all of whom stood out as excellent mathematicians at their respective schools.
Once again the Academy took place at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda, and was hosted by Dr Mango, Dean of the School of Physical Sciences at Makerere.
