*Only students who have enrolled at the African Science Academy are eligible for the AGF scholarship program. This opportunity is exclusively available to those affiliated with the academy, and applications from individuals outside this criterion will not be considered.

  • If you meet the eligibility criteria for the AGF scholarship and bursary, please complete the application form with all the necessary information. Ensure that you have provided all required details and submit your request well in advance of the deadlines.

  • Graduates of the African Science Academy are eligible for the AGF scholarship and bursary. Our focus is on providing financial assistance to undergraduate students who have confirmed their enrollment at an African university.

  • If an alumnae is eligible for the AGF scholarship and bursary, you can reapply annually with a limit of £1,500 per student, ensuring continuous financial support throughout your academic journey.

  • Currently, the AGF Scholarship fund exclusively supports undergraduate studies, and we do not have provisions for postgraduate programs. However, we are actively exploring the possibility of extending our support to postgraduate studies in the future. If you reach out to us and express an interest in postgraduate programs, we can leverage our contacts within universities or other foundations that specialize in funding such studies. It's important to note that, as of now, our funds are designated solely for undergraduate studies.

  • The amount under consideration is subject to an estimated cap, depending on your current place of residence and university affiliation.

  • We cannot guarantee support for this without conducting a thorough analysis of each individual case. Our objective is to allocate resources in a manner that benefits a broad spectrum of university students, ensuring support is distributed equitably. Please reach out to us directly to discuss your specific needs, and we will carefully consider your requests.

  • You don't necessarily need to pursue a STEM degree to qualify for a scholarship. The main criterion is ensuring you have the opportunity to attend university, even if you choose a non-STEM field at any African University.

  • The minimum duration for consideration is 10 days, and the sooner you make the request, the more favorable it is. After the scholarship agreement is reached, there will be a processing time for the payment, so allowing for some time is advisable.

  • If you're pursuing an undergraduate degree at an African university, you have the flexibility to reapply each year. This allows for adjustments due to potential changes in accommodation or variations in tuition fees from year to year. Our commitment extends to covering the full duration of your study, ensuring financial support throughout your academic journey.

  • If you are studying in an African University and require assistance with your tuition, living costs or need a stipend, we are open to considering such requests.

  • The scholarship is intended for university-related expenses and not personal projects.

    However, if you need support for personal projects, training, or conferences, you are free to submit a request, although approval is not guaranteed.

    We can assist you as much as possible, connecting you with individuals for mentorship, internships, and similar opportunities. We encourage you to seize these chances, as some mentoring programs include internships and unique prospects.
